Economic Development Visions

Neighborhoods are too often ignored by economic development people. Neighborhoods are the life-blood of any community, yet the economic development professionals have left community development people holding the bag one too many times. Economic development leaders need to be providing support, assisting with charrettes and planning sessions and helping with business development and entrepreneurship programs. Sure the Community Development people
and CDCs are the neighborhood experts, but the economic
development folks have something to bring to the party too. It
should be a partnership…not a one-way street.”
